Check Engine Light please go out 850 1995

I had my car repaired at a reputable shop.. they replaced the TCU. Now the problem is the check engine light.....it wont go out. When i turn on the car its out but after a few seconds it goes on. Diagnostics show nothing is wrong. i even unhooked the batter for 10 minutes to see if that would clear the light. all codes are 1-1-1 on A1 and A2. I dont want to spend a gazillion dollars at a dealer...does anyone have any suggestions or maybe a fix for theis problem. I think if this is not serious that a piece of black electrical tape over the light will fix it. any ideas out there??

Re: Check Engine Light please go out 850 1995

Richard,

Check for other unread codes. ALL codes have to be erased before the check engine lamp will go off...including obscure transmission codes that can also trigger the lamp...though you do mention A1.

Exactly tony... thats what my mechanic said... he spent 4 hours trying to find the cure for the engine light but to no avail....car is running great with no problems... what ill probably end up doing is going to the dealer so they could milk me out of more cash to fix the light.... thanks anyway
