Power antenna problem S40-V40 2001

The power antenna on my car refuses to retract all the way when the power is shut off. Hopefully it's just a temporary problem caused by road salt, etc... What's the recommended or preffered method to clean and lubricate it?

    The mast needs to be cleaned/lubricated with WD-40 or some other product periodically, especially in the winter with salt, etc. If that still doesn't do it then you may need a new mast. They cost around $25 mailorder and are quite easy to replace yourself.

    Robert:

    I have no idea! But I have the same problem. I have a 97 850. I think a new motor would solve the problem, although I think they are around $50-$75

    for a new one. I'll wait to see if anyone else has a better sol'n.
