Copper or platinum plugs? 850

I learned long ago never to run platinum plugs in Volvo 240/740's. Guaranteed to make them run like crap. (Applies to older Porsches, too). Now I own an 850.

what's the consensus? Platinum or copper?

that depends on if you've got a turbo or not. If you have the turbo, go copper. If the NA, I went with Bosch +4's (platinum) and have been quite happy. Also, they were on sale (plue MIR) making them less expensive than copper. I don't know if they're that much better to warrant paying regular price.

Standard Bosch copper plug, single electrode. Both in my 855T and 945T.

Good for about 30,000 miles. Runs perfectly, about $2 each.

Your NA has the 3 prong plugs. I prefer copper core because they last longer, but platinum core work also. Just don't get multiprong titanium, the tips fall off.
