Do your annodized rims scratch easily? V70-XC70 99

I just had my tires rotated and balanced. The tire guy pried off one old balance weight and scuffed up the annodizing leaving a clear mark where the old weight was. I didn't realize it until I got home; just thought it was dirt behind the old weight, but it's permanent. Is this common with the 99 annodized rims and something you just have to live with, or did I just get a careless balance guy? If anyone has similar rims I'd appreciate hearing your experiences. Also the new balance weight installed is different than the factory weight. I don't know if that makes any difference, but it seems like the new one will be even harder to pry off because it has no lip like the factory weights.
