Upper Engine Stabilizer Mount P2 V70....best source parts? V70-XC70

I just did the timing belt service at 227k miles and the bushing in the mount is shot. The bushing is "square".

What is the best parts choice to replace it? I prefer the "original" feel, which is I don't want to play around with bushing materials that change the ride or comfort of the car. Volvo's engineers did a good job.

I've stuck with original Volvo, or OEM when I'm sure the part is virtually identical. I've experienced aftermarket parts 'gone bad'. Never used an IPD product, but of all the aftermarket companies they have they best rap. I was thinking of calling them.

Need some advice.

You have but 2 choices, OEM or poly mount. The poly is easier to fit than OEM but 'may' transmit more engine vibrations, some folks say it is terrible but I didn't have a problem with the poly.

IPD is quite reputable, but get on Tasca's site and take a look at their OEM prices: http://www.tascaparts.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213668

I have used the Hutchinson mounts from FCP and have been very happy. The solid poly will drive you crazy with vibration; the soft less so. The Hutchinson seems like originals.

here is my experience with the IPD version of the top motor mounts:

        1. When I just changed the 1 attached to the top of the motor I got a very slight increase in vibration.

        2. When I changed the 1 on top of the motor and the 1 on the firewall, it was way too much and I went back to the original mount on the firewall.

        3. I also changed the motor mount on the passenger side of the engine as well.

I assume that each polyurethane mount will add vibration and the combination of the 2 was too much. I hope this helps.
