Replaced blower motor now it wont turn off 850 1996

I replaced the blower motor today and the "new" one won't turn off unless I pull the fuse. It even blows with the the key out. It is a Behr motor from my 1994 parts car. I did notice when I pulled the fuse it is burnt under the fuse. Maybe thats why it wont turn off ??
Thanks, Philvo

Most likely a short in the blower wiring. Or a terrible short close to the blower and sending electrons through the blower ground wire.

I would discount the fuse box, only because pulling the fuse works. You will need to remove the box and find out what is burning the wires. It could be a mess under there!!!

I looked at the fan wiring in the 95 850 and, it's not so simple.
****Tell me if you can vary the speed of the fan with the controls?****

and near the fan speed control is a "REC/AC" switch (Recirculation/AC)
which toggles a shutter motor and drives the blower fan relay so that
the blower gets direct 12V instead of the varying voltages from the speed switch.
Look for the Recirculation switch in your owners book, I don't know where it is.
