v70 air hot oneside cold other

Tried that but it made no difference. Still left side will warm up but
right side stays cold regardless of temp position, or whether in full auto
mode or not.

Any other suggestions out there greatly appreciated.

Mr Sha, you have a broken damper. You will need to remove the glovebox and the kick panel to expose the damper motors. I suspect the motor is working, but the pllastic connector behind the damper is broken and need to be re-glued and wrapped with wire. The dealer cannot fix this.

There might be an example on Volvospeed or Matthews site.

I have the same problem in reverse (left side warm, passenger side cold). Dealer noted a code for "climate control temp control damper motor failed". has anyone solved the problem? did anyone locate good pictures or video of access and/or repair. thanks.

R&R of the damper motor itself is quite easy - remove the kick panel and then the damper. The problem then is getting the system to 'adapt' the new damper. The 1994-5 850 had a 20 minute routine to go through. New cars require a computer program to be run against the dampers.

The cost of a new damper motor is around $250 a few years ago.

Some sort of clog in the system or a flap that does not work.

Try a flashlight and a mirror, you may find a cable disconnected or a broken part under the dash.

Ask someone at your dealer, some good soul may know the answer - working on a lot of cars can give one some great insight.
