Safely jacking an 850 850 1995

I hope somebody can help me with this. The old Volvospeed website had a description on how to safely jack an 850. I can't find it. Anybody know where I can find it?

I need to put both sides of the front end on jackstands.

Appreciate any help!

J

The real question is, what is it that you are trying to do???

If you are just doing something like brake work, then the subframe is a fine choice.

But if you are trying to drop the transmission, or remove the steering rack, which would necessitate dropping the subframe, then, obviously, using the subframe as a jacking point is not a great idea.

So, what are you doing?

Replacing a sway bar end link. I also want to look at both ball joints/control arms and have a thorough look underneath.

The subframe works nicely. Just make sure the jack stands cradle the frame.
