I have a 2001 v70. I need to change the bulb in the side repeater (the light on the front fender right in front of the door) and can't figure how to remove the lamp to get to the bulb. I read somewhere that you just twist the lamp CCW to remove, but mine is embedded in a rubber strip and won't turn. How do I get the %^&*()(*& thing out? I did a search and came up blank. Google is not my friend here, since the Google search leads me to several places to buy one.

Reading the owner's manual:

Side direction indicator
Open the front door halfway.
From the inside of the fender, push the lamp housing out.
Turn the bulb holder 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pull it out from the lens.
Remove the defective bulb by pulling it straight out.
Insert a new bulb.
Reinsert the bulb holder in the lens and press the entire unit back into place on the fender.
