1998 V70....the hinge on the driver's door is broken, in the middle of three, which I believe pulls/pushes the door shit...the "mount" part of the body is pulled out of sorts kinda sorta, maybe rotted.
Makes a horrible clicking noise that scares people in parking lots and wake my kids up in the morning!!!!

Don't wanna spend money on it anymore....can I simply cut that out the hinge (CAREFULLLY!)
and be done with it...???

That is not a door hinge. That is the door stay, it keeps you from opening the door too far and denting your fender. It also keeps the door from slamming your leg when parked facing up hill.

Here is the 'fix' for 850s. Depending on what is broken, of course.
