CD error notice on audio system S60 2007

This isn't directly car-related, but my 2007 S60 has the factory audio system with Sirius-XM enabled. I have burned several audio CDs from (legally, through Amazon) downloaded music files using MS Windows Media Player. While they work on my computer, the will not function in the Volvo. I get a "CD Error" message in the readout and then the CD is ejected? What's up? Should I be burning the CDs with a different program?

    Volvo radios have improved, they used to swallow the CD and never eject them again!

    I suspect that you are using the wrong burning format. Look around for an Ipod adapter.

      Klaus, thanks, but what would that do? I don't think that there is a jack in the dash for an iPod. Anyway, I have a new Droid Razr, which has some kind of music-burning capability that I haven't used. If I've gotta buy an iPod, so be it, I think you can even get them at Walmart nowaways. Thanks a ton.

        Not a port on the dash, but in the rear - the 10CD player port. At $500, it is a bit much. Look near the bottom of this PDF:
