Was the upper bushing the only part that needed replacement? If other mounting parts are bad replacement of only the upper can have strange results.

I think the general concensus on this board is that the iPd bushing is significantly stiffer then the stock. As a result, it has a tendency to transmit more vibration to the cabin.

As to whether a stiffer bushing is better or worse, I won't bother discussing, as the same argument will present itself.

If you don't like the added vibration, switch back.

Well, I will add my 2 centws-

The IPD bushing I installed on my 1995 850 Turbo is completely transparent to me as far as any different feels.

I absolutely cannot tell the difference between the stock part.

Its easier to install than oem- and offers longer life (i will see on that one).

I agree. There was not a noticeable change in the engine vibration after I replaced the OEM with the IPD torque bushing.

It is possible that one or more motor mounts are worn out and that is causing the increased vibration.

However, I do notice that on starting the engine, the "jolt" seems more significant since installing the IPD bushing.

        Good luck,

        Bryan
