Tanner's Leather Products S70 2000

Took a mental health day from work today, and would like to restore my leather back to where it was before it was subjected to the tornado I call my son.

Advanced Auto does not carry Lexol, which seems to be preferred by the board. I picked up some products by a company called "Tanner's". Has anybody else used these products and if so, how was your experience with them?

Appreciate any input.

Dave

Re: Tanner's Leather Products V70-XC70 2000

I've had good luck with Imperial Leather Care products. A lot better than Lexol, from personal experience. It did wonders on my 10 year old living room leather set! You can find the product on www.autosupermart.com. (not affiliated with the company in any way, I was pleased with their service though). Dunno about Tanner's, never seen nor tried it. Hope this works for you. Imperial is pricey, but may be worth it in the long run if you plan to keep your Volvo for life.. ;)

Re: Tanner's Leather Products V70-XC70 2000

Dave,

I'll second Eric's post. I was devoted to Lexol products until I tried Imperial Leather Car. It is superior not only on leather but on vinyl as well.

With an ivory interior, any dirt or streaking is obvious. Those products REALLY clean, soften and preserve the leather and vinyl.

The up-front cost is high. But, like Zymol products, a little goes a very long way. BTW I am not affiliated with either company. I'm just an owner who wants to keep his car in good condition for at least the next ten years.

I assume your talking about the stuff that comes in the red bottle. If so it works great. In my opinion is actually works better then lexol. Lexol is easier to use though due to the fact its in a spray bottle. I do not foresee any problems using Tanners.

Tanner's Leather Products worked for me... 850 1994

I have used it on my 1994 854 Turbo with good results. I have the charcoal leather in my car and it seems to clean and protect well. The aroma left by the conditioner is clean and refreshing. There was no residue left to muff up my white shirts either! Now, I have only used this product one time as I just got the car a few months back. It did help blend and hide the small cracks in the 170000-mile old driver’s seat as it helped cover and hide the other blemishes too. I will use it again as it meet my expectations fully. (IOW, it did not melt my leather nor did it remove the dye.)

Hope this helps.

Prospero
