brake pull 1994 Volvo 850

When I apply the brakes at higher speed the car steering wheel for a split second seems to pull to the right otherwise it brakes properly. What could be the problem? Thanks for replies.

First check the sliding pins that the caliper slides on to make sure they work, check and make sure no tie rod end play, then check the lower control arm bushings. I bet on the bushings, but what do I know. Pauli

Because the pull stops after initial brake application, I also would suspect suspension/steering problems.

Based on that symptom, I'd guess a bad tie rod end.
