Warped rotor question 850

My son's 94 850 has a bad pulsing when applying the brakes at higher speeds over 50 mph. I too, apart the passenger side wheel to check the rotor and it seemed fine. The brakes were nicely lubed up since the caliper was replaced last year. the driver side is where I think I have the problem. The shop that did the state inspection drove the lug nut on so hard that I couldn't get the lug nuts off 3 holes. I used an 18 inch pipe the give me extr leverage on the lug wrench and the nuts were on so tight the Volvo wrench bent. So I am going to get a bigger bar the crack the lug nuts loose. But my question is if the rotor is warped from the lug nuts do I need to replace the rotor on both sides? Should I also replace pads each time I do rotors?

I am so angry because the rotors had plenty of life but now have to pay for new parts and do this work. Any help on the rotor/ pad replacement is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I doubt that overtorgued rotors that have been repeatedly heated up and cooled during weeks of normal driving will return to being true again. You may as weel resign yourself to getting two new ones and new pads also. Just take the car to a garage and pay them $10 to loosen the lug nuts with their air wrench.

Wait until there are other customers in the shop, then complain to the manager about over-torquing the lug nuts. Have them at least loosen them, the air gun will do that easily, then torque them down yourself.

If the right rotor is new, then no need to replace both. If not, both rotors need to be replaced. BUT,
Before you get new rotors, put all of the lug nuts on at 81lbs and take the car for a ride. Brake hard a few times and then let the rotors cool off while driving. See if that makes a difference.

Then, never go back to that shop...

New pads are only needed when worn, no need to replace them.

What is the trick with taking the off and torque to 81lbs and driving? Is there a chance the odor can be saved?

I still have three more lug nuts that have to come off.I need a longer pipe to get those off.

Yes. If the monkey got his greasy hands on the rotor you will have a chance to get brake cleaner and wipe the rotors off.
