Aftermarket speakers V70-XC70 2000

Looking for some input on good after market speakers(componet system)to fit my 2000 xc. Just trying to get some info on what others have done and what they think works best/worse. Was kind of leaning towards the MB Quart 6.53 system anyone have those in there wagon??? Problem with those is i don't want to go cutting the car to make a speaker fit. I think that the speakers in the doors are 5.25" and the speakers with this system are 6.5" any comments or suggestions would be very appreciated.

Re: Aftermarket speakers V70-XC70 AWD 98

As far as I know, the front and rear will fit a 6.5" speaker. I recently changed my speakers all around and went with an entry level line of components in the Phoenix Golds. Not bad for the $$. While I was researching, I listened to the Focal line... they are incredible. Price is in the MB Quart range. Give those a listen before you buy.

One problem to overcome that I found when changing speakers is the configuration of the wagon. Whereas the S70 has a rear shelf for speakers that can put out a bit more bass, our wagons doesn't have that so you're going to have to find a pair for the rear doors that are strong in bass unless of course you want to go with the subwoofer option.

I posted an earlier message regarding speakers:

I put mb quart's in my 98, no fit problem, but you should also think about a different amp. I put it in my rear storage well
