Turning off DRL's on 2001 V70 V70-XC70 2001

Any one know how to turn off the DRL's on a 2001 V70? Did I miss this part of the manual?

Re: Turning off DRL's on 2001 V70 V70-XC70 2001

It's one of the few things that can be adjusted with the existing software (meaning you don't have to pay for new software for this "feature.") The good news is that you lose nothing by doing this. The ONLY difference between the ON position and the DRL position is that the high beams to not stick on in the DRL position. EVERYTHING else is the same. So by simply leaving the switch in the on position after the software change, you can have all the the benefits of the DRL position, provided you remember that your brights will stick if you pull too far. But after the change, you can now turn your lights off, which has many uses, as I'm sure you're aware, since you're asking this question....

My dealer did it for free the day after I took delivery.

your lights can only be changed by a dealer, they will change the programing. this should only take about 10-15 minutes

Turn the knob halfway. You will feel a "stopper". Your lights will be off(your side lights may be on at this point, I can't remember). Nothing about that in the manual
