weird noise when turning left?? S70 98

Hi guys i own a 1998 S70 T5 and when ever i turn left i hear a grinding kinda noise like metal on metal rubbing together.....sounds kinda like a farting noise(sorry guys best way i could explain it)...does anyone have any idea what it could be pls help...tks from Rob

    Have you thought about "beano". No seriously sounds like you need to grease steering stops. can be done in a minute or two with the car on the ground and the wheels in place

    I had a similar problem, which I solved by bending the brake backing plate slightly (1/8th inch) towards the center of the car.

    You may need to grease your steering stops. Go to www.volvospeed.com - they show exactly what to do in the repairs/maintenance section.
