Windshield wiper skips S70 1998

The windshield wiper on driver side skips.

Is this a problem with the arm or with the blade?

Any recommendations as to what arms and blades are best for the car? I live in a snowy climate. Do you recommend I get Volvo parts for this?

My '95 850 is exhibiting the exact same problem as your car, I just haven't gotten around to try fixing it--I'm sure this can help you out:

Thank you for the reply, but my wipers aren't skipping just the last 1/4 of the swipe. Rather, they *stutter* across the windshield. I think at some point I'll bring the car to the dealer and have them replace the blade. Other research on the web suggested using RainX. I might give that a try too.
