Volvo C30

I clicked on the C30 tab and found nothing.
How were the C30's? I'm more familiar with Gen2 XC70's.

My impression has been that that generation of drivetrain were well sorted and reliable.

Any other info?

Could be a white elephant or a collectors item.

Here in the Northeast, they sold a Boston Red Sox special after the Sox won the World Series.

I think they made 100 in red with a big Red Sox emblem on the back window.

Volvo has a big sign in Fenway park, and has a tie-it with the Sox.

My wife and I got to hold the trophy and had our picture taken with it at Lovering Volvo in Meredith NH.

Actually we were not impressed with the trophy - it was as dirty around the bottom of the pendants as a used ashtray!

I think they are very cool cars. If could afford it I'd buy one. Volvo announced that they are discontinuing them. I'm not surprised. the C30 is a $20,000 car that is essentially a Mazda 3 or Ford Focus with a Volvo-ish body and engine.

Aside from complications from Geely, many of Ford and Mazda's offerings are just Volvos with different engines and slightly different bodies. I'm disappointed, but not surprised to see the C30 go away.

That's funny, there is a Red Sox special edition on ebay right now.

Btw, I am more specifically thinking of the T5.

That was the 2.5 Turbo, wasn't it? About 258 hp?

Thanks, good point on parts.
I know the chassis is the Mitsu-related platform, I was wondering which models the drivetrain is shared with.
I've always liked the model, great looking, unique, have to see if I like it well enough to try to buy one.....
