SAS valve/;pump repair query S70 1998

the air pump finally died over the winter, bought new valve and used pump....weather finally nice enough to work outside in my driveway, so time to git'er done...my question...the rubber line and vacuum line(purple) on the valve assembly are held on with those one use crimp style clamps...I think a very small hose clamp will do for the rubber line, but what of the vacuum line? would a zip tie be sufficient to ensure no vacuum leak, and proper valve operation? thanks in advance to all those wiser than I..

A snugged down zip tie will work. The line uses negative pressure and all you want is to keep the air out.
