Back around the fall there were some posts on a certian additive that I could add to my A/C system to seal up holes in my evaportor. The stuff was about $150 dollars, but I can't find the URL to the company anymore. Does anyone remember the companies name and or URL.

I checked into the Cryo-seal fix and found it very interesting. But, I found that they wouldn't sell it to anyone but a certified person. They're literature at the Cryochem web site suggests that the repairman could charge something like $450 for it. I don't have any certified friends. I spoke with a mechanic who said he'd look into it for me: call the rep. I have the name, and see if he could get it. I doubt if he'd only charge me $150 or so, once he talks to the guy. I put the less expensive sealer in from auto-zone back in Aug. or Sept. It lasted until last month. Now it desparately needs a charge and a seal I(cycles constantly no cooling). The whole heating and air system has a foul odor, kind of like smelly sneakers or dirty socks. I'm considering just biting the bullet and paying the $1156 quote my Volvo dealer quoted and just getting the evaporator replaced. I just wish they'd come up with a permenant fix. I'll need a/c soon as it will get unbearable here in Florida.

I bought sealer from K-Mart for about five bucks. It lasted all last summer and I hope it still works this year.

Yes, that's the product. I used it last summer, and it held at least till October. Too cool still to tell if it held thru the winter. I'll post any findings when the weather gets warm, which I hope is soon.
