Re: Replacement of PNP switch on Trans 850 1995

Is the alignment tool mentioned in the bay 13 procedure absolutely needed to replace this switch? Has anyone done it without this tool? The dealers seem to sell the switch, but not the tool. Also is this a lengthy or complicated job?

    You can do it without the tool but it may not be as accurate. Tighten the switch where it seems centered and make sure it starts the car in P&N only, reverse lights work in R.

    It's not a bad job, just follow the instructions there.
