DTC Code P2402 S80

I have a 2007 S80 with the 3.2L engine with 70,000 miles. I have a Check Engine light on and the code is P2402. The definition is, "Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit High" Any suggestions?

I finally got it to the dealer. It was the pump and it is located over the gas tank, so that had to be dropped to access it. $400

The battery in this car was the factory original. It had been getting progressively weaker when starting. I had it tested and it showed low CCA. They replaced it and of course the Check Engine Light went off. It has been two days and over 100 miles and it has not come back on.

The joy was short lived. The code is back. I plan to let the dealer do the 75,000 mile checkup and fix the problem.

The code was cleared when the battery was disconnected. Sorry, but the vacuum motor will probably be replaced.

You won't like this answer. The new cars have a pump to check the hvac system during start up. Your pump has failed and it is time to visit a mechanic. I do not know where this pump is. It will not mess with drivability.
