replacing shift knob 850 1994

Hello there, does anyone knows what is the part # for the wooden shift knob for a '94 850 automatic? I have the rubber one and its been scratch or in other word a dog bite into it. And is it easy to replace it or i need to take it to the mechanic? Thanks in advance.

Re: replacing shift knob 850 1994

George,

Don't know the part number. But, no mechanic needed.

Pull off the old one. Push on the new one.

Re: replacing shift knob V70-XC70 11998

I would like to replace my plastic shift knob with a wooden one. I checked with my local Volvo dealer. The "Red Walnut wooden knob", for a 1998 V70 is part # 9192682 and costs $175.98!!!! I've decided to try and locate one at a local junk yard. Do I need a special tool to replace mine with a wooden one?

Thanks, David
