Seat Heater / Lighter 850 1994

My driver's side heat seater and my cigarette lighter have both stopped working (I think they are unrelated).

Didn't see any blown fuses. Is there anything else I could check?

Thanks!

Re: Seat Heater / Lighter 850 1994

Raise your driver seat up to the highest position possible and then tilt it forward as much as possible. Get in the back seat area and look underneath the seat cushion to see if either one of or both the red and white wires leading into the seat heater thermostat have broken off. Common problem on 850s. If the wires are good there then it could be the connection at the switch that has come loose or even the switch itself is broken. Finally, it could be the thermostat or, cringe, the heat element itself that is busted.

Ditto with the cig. lighter, check the wires leading to it first.
