fuel pump floor cut V70-XC70 1999

anyone have a template that will allow me to make a proper cut in the floor to access fuel pump on 99 XC. yeah yeah, I know all about what lurks below, just need to see the route for my Dremel. I think when the Volvo engineers were designing this car, they went out to ski and forgot to design in the removable floor panel when they got back to work. or maybe it was the Akavit

You can do the job without cutting floor and not dropping the diff. I have it written up here on one of my old post and on turbo bricks as well. 3 hours tops. Pauli

thanks. can't find on either forum archives. She's going under the scalpel, err Dremel, on Sat 7/27 if I haven't heard from you :-(. Looks like an easy cut, my lines are clear underneath if need be.

Success! easy 3 sided cut-out with thin-cut dremel wheels. Popped in the new OEM pump assy from Tasca [under $300!] spliced the wiring and waterproofed the connx with plenty o'silicone, closed up the flap and we are back in business. My indy shop wanted $1400. MVS instructions were good.

His real problem was a broken wire, not the pump.
