ANSWER air cleaner vacuum ports 850 1997

On my 1996 850 NA, there was a white line that plugged into the rear side of the air cleaner box - that line originated at the vacuum tree at the throttle body. The other black vacuum line wraps around the air box and plugs into the bottom of the air box where it controls the heated air valve.

I negated the heated air by using a box from a turbo which has cold air only and capped the vacuum tree port. When the mechanical thermostat in the bottom of the air box fails, the MAF will cook and the warm air slows the mid-range torque.
