Lopsided Car V70-XC70 98

I've noticed the most bizarre thing about our '98 V70 T5 - the driver's side sits about 1" lower than the passenger side. I've checked as much of the suspension as possible and don't see anything wrong. Any ideas? Is there something specific to look for?

Not sure what you are measuring, at the shop we measure from the top of the fender to the bottom of the rim, should be within 1/4 of an inch or so, if its not, usually the rear suspension is the fault, springs, cross members, have a good suspension guy look at it, a lot of shops have a front end guy that ends up doing alignments and most of the insurance jobs from recks, if you can find someone like that, they usually have the inside information on your concerns.

You did measure this from a level floor as apposed to the ground, didn't you? Measure again after moving the car to another location.

Wow, now why didn't I think of that? I thought measuring it in the snow on a ski slope would've given me the most accurate and statistically sound data.

Seriously, I measured it on my level, flat, concrete floor. You can notice it in parking lots, other driveways and when driving along from behind or in front.

Sorry Curtis,

I didn't mean to imply that you were a dummy measuring your car on a ski slope .... Perhaps you've got a broken coil or something like that. Good luck any how.
