I use the three electrode spark plugs in my non-turbo S70. These are VOlvo OEM plugs and they are made in France. It works very well. I purchased the spark plugs from Brentwood VOlvo in the net and got a very good price. Forget about the Bosch P+4. You won't be happy with it.

      Re: Spark plug S70 1998

      Chuck,

Would you mind explaining in more details why ( a Volvo owner ) wouldn't be happy with using Bosch P+4 spark plugs, please ?

I'm planning to change the spark plugs on my non-turbo S70 soon, & was planning to se Bosch P+4. Would NGK be a better choice than Bosch ?

I haven't tried any of the Japanese spark plugs before, but my friend told me that NGK are as good as Bosch. He loves the improvement over the original spark plugs on his '00 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS coupe. I can't tell

whether the NGK spark plugs made any difference since he perform some other modifications to his Subaru @ the same time.

      TIA,

      Kenny

I have read so many posts regarding spark plugs. Platinum +4 does not idle smooth and performance suffers. I had used Bosch Platinum plugs and experienced the same. The three elecrode Volvo plugs performs very well. NGK is a good plug. If you want platinum NGK for non-turbo, the part # is BKR6EVX; for multi-electrode NGK, BKR6EKUB. They are $6 to $8 a piece.
