O.E. Volvo hose clamps S70 1998

Just attempted to change out the flame trap/PCV elbow that comes off of the fresh air intake but unfortunately it had one of those funky OE Volvo clamps,
the ones with a bowtie shape on top and three little metal tits in the band.
Can anyone enlighten me as to the easiest way to remove this thing so I can replace with a standard hose clamp? Do I need some special tool to remove it?

I usually just stick one leg of my needle nose pliers into the "bowtie", squeeze down on one side of the bowtie and twist it apart. Then repeat on the other side of the bowtie. This allows enough slack in the clamp to free it up.

If you're a real Volvo nut, you can buy the original style clamps and installation tool so that you car stays "original". So far I haven't felt the need to keep my cars that pure.

    It's just a crimped clamp.
I stick a small screwdriver in the "bow" and twist. It usually gives it enough slack to unhook the loose end.
