SC-816 cd wont eject cd S70 2000

Anyone have any idea why this piece of s*** SC-816 cd player wont eject my CD...Im taking it in to the dealer...but what a hassle...I wonder if they will give me a new stereo...????....Any suggestions or ideas...Thanks

There is a post at the link below that shows how to open up the side of the radio and twiddle a micro-switch in there that can get stuck, usually this is the case if your 816 won't accept CDs, however you might give it a try to see if it gets things working.

I am stuck on step one. I pull on the two handles on the radio and it will not come out. Is ther a step before this like remove the trim or something like that? THANKS, MH

No, no trim removal. Once the handles are popped out just pull.

You will fill a little bit of resistance at first. Just pull a

bit harder.

This happened to me as well....I believe it just the security system in the player lockin itup because it thnks someone was trying to steal it. I waited till the morning without playing with th stereo and it worked again. Hope this helps.
