For the last 2-3 weeks i noticed my 855 leaving a few drops of oil on the ground, on the passenger side. Got under it after a run of 40 miles on the freeway and find the passenger side engine and transmission covered with oil. remove the spark plug cover and the whole top of the head is covered with oil. Disassembled and cleaned the flame trap today, a little gunky but still flowing. checked all the vacuum connectors, put it back and started it. runs good but when i removed the oil dipstick could see very clearly air and oil vapor blowing out.
Question; is there any other trick to try before embarking on removing the intake to clean the whole system? if i need to clean up the hosess and oil separator, are there any tricks / modifications to do to make it work better?
One last question, when the PCV system gets gunked up like that, is there not some error code or check engine light? it seems like it lights up for things that are not as important as this!
Thank you for your advice
Carlos
