1999 volvo v70 ac clutch not engaging V70-XC70

I have a 99 volvo v70 in which the ac was blowing cold and then just stopped being cold. I checked and topped up the freon,no change. I
then noticed that the clutch was not engaging. I disengaged the Low pressure switch and using a test light i got power in one of the two terminals in the wire going to the Low pressure switch. When i jumped the switch the clutch engages. Where do I go from here ??

    Pressostat switches do fail. Sounds like you need to get a new one.

    Had the compressor not engaged when you jumpered the switch, then I would have suggested that the clutch needed shimming.
