E-Brake shoes HELP S70 1998

Car is v70 not awd so similar to a s70 set up. I have done a couple of these in the past this is why i am at my wits end.

e-brake shoes attach with bottom spring, make sure bottom ebrake cable gizmo is in the shoe knotches. Everything looks good.

When I place the top adjuster in , it is fully depressed, the shoes are expanded to much and can't get the rotor on. The rotor fits no problem without the adjuster.

On our '04 V70 the adjuster bar could look like it was located correctly, but it was not. Make sure the fork is in the right notch.

Did you release all of the tension on the E-brake at the console first?

Have you tried pushing the shoes around, until they are centered on the dust shield? I was having the same trouble getting the rotor on, until I pushed the shoes down a bit. Sounds like your star adjuster mechanism is threaded all the way in, so all good there.

...and make sure the clips retaining the e-brake shoes are in good condition. I had the same issue during a recent brake job, changed the clips for new, unrusted, unbent ones, and the problem was solved..
