Transmission job done 850

Hi All:

Got the car back from the shop. They installed a 500.00 ebay transmission with about 80K on it for 1380.00. The bill was 860.00 labor, 222.00 for volvo transmission fluid, 90.00 for a new rear main seal and 200.00 for new axles which had to be replace because apparently, the transmission was from a turbo car. I am
trying to get a credit because of this, but the transmission bolted in fine and works great in my non-turbo car. Hopefully the car lasts for many more years now as I just drive about 10K a year to work and back with it.......

The 850 automatics have the same trannies and axles, regardless of engine. There are NO turbo axles. In fact, the manual trannies also use the same axles.

The rest of your mechanic charges are all within spec.

Parts store confirms there are two different spline types for 850 cars......maybe there was a model change....
