Intermittent stalling V70-XC70 1999

OK. Sorry if you've heard this before or responded to this issue, but I've spent many hours in this and other forums looking for related issues to no avail.
Issue: My non-turbo base V70 5 speed with 199k shows no codes, no cel, starts and runs terrific (besides the stalling). It starts right up but then after 1 mile or so will just stall. I wait 30 seconds and it will start back up. Then it stalls again. This goes on for several stalls/restarts before it will run normally. It will stall under exceleration or at a light. I have had it diagnosed (no - MAF, no EFI relay, no O2 sensor, no fuel pump, no computer module, no crank shaft sensor, and the throttle was cleaned.
Here is the kicker - this will continue for a week or so then the car will go several weeks with no stalling issues.
I would really hate to take it to dealer, since the car is not worth the $$ they would charge, however, some of these stalls get embarrassing - at traffic lights or going up hills.

Owned 245, 740
Own - '99 V70 and '00 V70 GLT and counting. Always on the prowl for my next Volvo

If there are no codes, the dealer will just throw parts at it, at your expense. A really good Volvo code reader 'might' show something.

I think some of the 1999's still have a fuel pump relay. Remember, fuel supply errors do not generate codes. Listen for the fuel pump on the restart attempt. It might even be a clogged fuel filter or a pump going bad.
