Does Volvo allow to read trouble codes with the Check engine light? If so, which terminals do you use in the OBDII diagnostics connector?

You need an ISO-9141 OBD-II code reader.

Don't forget to check to make sure the gas cap is on tightly. It seems to be the most common trigger for the 'Check Engine' light. It happens every couple of months on my wife's '98 V70.
