Hi,
I have just moved to Boston and need to find a mechanic for my V70. Can any one recommend a good one? I don't mind a drive if that's what it takes. Thanks in advance for any help you might give.

    Are you in Boston proper?

    There's some good mechanics near me, "Small Wheels" Swampscott, Superior Motors in Salem, And Lab Motors in Marblehead

    Go to Swedish car day at the Larz Anderson transportation museum Sunday Aug 24, 2014.

    You can meet a few hundred Volvo owners and ask some of them!

    The last time I went, they had everyone start their cars up at noon and rev them up! I cheated and listened to a 745 , all-out drag car that had a 600 HP supercharged MustangV-8.

    Irv has been there a couple of times I went.

    Google Swedish Car Day.

        When I look for a mechanic I usually make an appointment for an oil change or other small thing. That usually gives me a clue as to how the shop is run and how the customer is treated.

        I also look at the other cars. That tells a lot.
