Where to get a minispare? 850 1996

I need a new mini-spare (my old one is worn out). Any ideas of getting a new one without buying from the dealer?

I can't find a tire store that will change a tire on one of these. And I have noticed that the trunk well does not accomodate a full-size spare.

    I've got one. It's original (from 1993 850GLT) and (I believe) never been used.

    I got a new set of tires in Feb 2001. At the same time, I put one of my old (full size) tires on a new steel wheel for a "real" spare.

    If you're interested, make me a reasonable offer at ralph_a_richter@yahoo.com -- and we'll arrange for shipping. I live in Gaithersburg, MD. My spouse will probably offer you money to get it out of our garage, but ... I won't let you talk to her.

      Check the bolt pattern- may not fit. Only '92 and '93 used a four bolt pattern. Subsequent years went to five bolt pattern.

        Your're right! I forgot about the change from 4 to 5 bolts.

        But ... the tire may still work, and he already has a wheel. Still a problem getting it mounted ....

    You may also want to try a recycler in your area or Erie Volvo, who I have used before. Other folks recommend copartfinder.com.
