850 O2 connector mounts with a manual tranny 850

I just replaced my rear O2 sensor after not finding any exhaust leaks. The online heavies always said that the mount was on the tranny, I cannot find ANY place to mount the two sensor couplings. Both were just laying on top of the tranny.

There are 2 raised sections of aluminum at the top of the tranny with holes in them, but no bolt connecting them. Is this where a flat bar should be mounted? I really don't want to spend 2 hours to go to a pick&pull unless I get to pull something.

My ’98 V70 5-speed also has the O2 sensor mount gone, but the attached photo shows where it would go. It seems to be an extension of the wiring conduit that the bracket used to bolt to. I took it off long ago since it is an awkward place to reach. I also hardwired in the front O2 sensor. Hope this helps. There is another pic in the technical library - couldn't attach two to this message.

Thanks! That long plastic piece is no longer in my engine bay. I guess the turkeys that removed the engine to replace the clutch thought it wasn't needed or forgot where it was supposed to go.

There were a few other missing pieces as well.

      Zip ties to the rescue!
