Brake Pad Replacement S60 2009

What pads are recommended for a 2009 FWD S60 - ceramic or semi-metallic? From earlier posts it seems like OEM pads (from dealer) are recommended for the rear, but what about the front? I've seen both PBR and Akebono mentioned.

Cheers for the help.
Vinny

I have always used PBR semi-metalic, I like the 'less dust' feature and they work in the wet. Some ceramics need high heat to work, so be careful and read the fine print.

In either case, a set of pads are cheap when you think about what they do.

I've outfitted my 07 FWD with OEM pads and rotors and am very happy. Dust on the rims is plentiful, but lets me know things are happening. Whatever was on the car before should be illegal, the car was unsafe while driving in the rain...I assume it was some entry level rubbish from one of the major chains.

The folks over at FCP seem to take interest to Akebono pads and the Bosch rotors for what its worth.

Best Regards,

Steve
