1998 S70 TURBO STANDARD SHIFT S70

Does anyone know the difference between the 2 different transmissions for the 98 s70 t5 there ia a vin break up to 460000 and above . i am asking because I have easy access to the earlier one and wonder if it would work and ideas would help thanks Peter

    1998 S70 TURBO STANDARD SHIFT S70

    There is an M56L and an M56H. The L has a tall 1st gear and is suited better for the low pressure turbo.

    As far as I know, there is no manual tranny difference in 1998-2000.

      1998 S70 TURBO STANDARD SHIFT S70

      There must be some difference between the 2 because if you look for a clutch for a 98 S70 they always ask for the chassis number. Also, under 459999 and over 460000 clutches have different parts numbers and there is about a $100 price difference between the 2 as well. Not sure what this means, but I assume there is some differences.
