2004 V70 AWD AOC Fluid/Filter & Wheel bolt torque V70-XC70 2004

I gathered all the tools & supplies to change the fluid & filter on the AOC system on this car with 140K on the odo. However, when I pulled the plug & checked the condition of the fluid, it appeared to be nearly as clean as the fresh stuff. I live in Iowa but the PO lived near Seattle and had all services done at a dealer, and the dealer said they didn't change it because it's not on the routine maintenance schedule. I didn't change the fluid or filter because it looked so good. Is it expected for the fluid to be this clean? While it was on the lift, I decided to change to the snow tires & when I checked the bolt torque in the manual it said to tighten to 100 ftlb. Did this torque spec change when Volvo switched from nuts to bolts on the wheels? I torque my 940 to 65 ftlb.

By AOC, are you refering to the Haldex AWD system. The oil shouldn't get much use in Seattle as a marine climate and little use for AWD. With the snow in Iowa, it will be used more. Still, I am glad you checked.

My 1996 850 uses 81 lbs on the lug bolts. And the newer cars are back to the 100 lbs that was used on the 122.
