Bilstein Shocks for Turbo 850 850 94

I have been looking at the Bilstein application charts for a '94 850. Most of them say "except T-5" and some say "fits all including T-5". Called the Bilstein tech person and he couldn't tell me why they would or won't fit a T-5 and that since his app. chart said "no" thats all he could go by ( but he hinted that they would work). One supplier says they'll work another says no. No one has a reason why.

Has anyone put the 4358's on the front of their Turbo?? What was the result??

Re: Bilstein Shocks for Turbo 850 850 94

Steve,

I bought a 1996 850R wagon a few months ago. The previous owner put on bilsteins all the way around. The ride is very firm but the handling is awsome. Also, upgraded were the sway bars. FYI, I think KYB makes a comparable product for less money.

Good luck,

Chris

They will work on all 850s. If your car has self leveling shocks though you need to replace the springs.

Ordered a set of fronts and rears from the Shockwarehouse today. I've always liked having them on my other vehicles. I expect they'll be great on the Turbo.

Re: Bilstein Shocks for Turbo 850 850 95

I just put Bilstein on my '95 855T. They offer a firmer ride, however, at the same time the dampening is more sensitive taking the harsh shock of bumps which the Boge's were unable to do. The firmer front end allows for less dive while cornering and braking adding increased control and you no longer have to flinch when hitting pot-holes. A fantastic upgrade in my opinion.
