can you name those 16" wheels??? S70 GLT/2000

I bought a set of Volvo OEM 16" wheels from a friend who has a 1998 S70 T-5....you know the ones...with the five spokes. Does anybody know what they are called by Volvo?

BTW: I just bought a set of

Michelin Pilot XGT Z4’s in 205/55 and had them mounted and balanced(two of them needed no weights at all)for $177 each. These are outstanding tires.....I like the Pilot XGT’s much better than the older XGT’s(they came on the rims with about 40% tred left on them, so i gave them a try)that came stock. Took the GLT up to 125MPH on the NJ TPK and the ride was perfect in every way. These tires are just right for the road conditions in the NYC/NJ Metro area!

The rims that come standard on the S70 T5s were called the Perfo. You can check out other Volvo rim names on the Volvotuning.com website. They have a section with all the Volvo rims and names.

Some early '98 S/V70 T5s came with a very similar alloy called COLUMBA.

Re: can you name those 16" wheels??? (Part2) S70 GLT/2000

What is the name of the wheel on a 2000 AWD V70R? The one with the R insignia on the wheel. Is this 16x7 as opposed to a standard 16x6.5 wheel. When I looked at it, it seems to portrude further out the whel well. Is it a different offset?

Re: can you name those 16" wheels??? V70-XC70 01

The rims for the V70 XC for 2001 are not shown on Volvotuning, I don't think, so perhaps not ALL are shown and named, Ben.

I'm sorry John, I should have used SOME of the rims are named and shown on Volvotuning.com. Bad choice of word on my part. Sorry.

Yannis,

What is the name of the rim that appeared on the 2000 S70 GLT SE's. It's 16", but I havent seen it named anywhere.

Thanks!

I dug out the window sticker and sales brouchure, and both just list it as 16" Ultra Light Alloy Wheel.

Yeah, I know...I saw that everywhere, but not their real name.

I e-mailed my friend, in Sweden, perhaps she can shed some light into this. I will let you know if I find anything.
