I had just purchased a pristine 2003 S60 with 51000 miles. Are there any common problems associated with this vehicle year?

No particular problems. 5 spd auto trans problems gone in 02. I've owned an 04 for the last 3-4 yrs and am satisfied with its performance and reliability. 145K mi. You're over 10 years on the timing belt so it needs to be done soon regardless of mileage.

belt was replace a few 1000 miles ago, thanks for the response
