Stopped to get some gas yesterday, and may have not tightened the gas cap enough.
Started the car, and got a message about the "fuel filler" being open. R&R'd the cap with no result. Also tried clearing the message per the manual, with no result.

How can I clear this message?

    If the cap was not seated, then a few drive cycles with a tight cap will cause the light to go away. A generic scanner should be able to clear the code, but that is like disconnecting the battery - the car will have to go through a long drive pattern to 'reset' its drive parameters. Do not do this if you are going to get tested within a month or so.
