Shocks and Struts 850 1995

I am in the market for a new set as my vehicle has 70k and I have no evidence that they have ever been changed. I remember hearing that the average life of a shock is about 60-70k. Is this true for Volvo's as well, they are not leaking but I would like to improve the ride and handling and I think this would help..What type would you recommend.

I was thinking about Boge.

    Boge is stock. I have Konis in the front and bilstein in the rear and love the set up. If you dont mind a stiffer rids you can't go wrong with bilstein or Koni.

    Just did the ones on my 94 turbo this morning. It has 120k on it and they were tired. Used Bilsteins and they feel GREAT.
