self-levelling?? 850 96

Hi,

I have a 1996 red sedan automatic volvo 850R. This may sound pretty dumb, I want to get new suspension components but i'm not really sure if i have self levelling or not. Is this an electronic system that levels the dampers? How do you tell if you have them?

Also what do you people think is the safest and lowest springs you can match with the koni front and rear shocks and what brand?

Thanks alot

J.

You can tell by looking at them. They are not conected by any electric or other devices. They have a Nib on them. Linden

    Re: self-levelling?? 850 96

The self levelling suspension was found only on wagons to me knowledge. And if the explanation by the mechanic at my shop was correct, the self levelling suspension works by using the up and down motion of a moving car over imperfect roads to "pump" the suspension up.

As for springs, I guess the iPd springs would be the safest in terms of preventing rubbing. As for lowest, get those special coil clamps and clamp off one coil. That should be more than you need.
